Jammu, May 12 : Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday informed that 4509 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (1759 from Jammu division and 2750 from Kashmir division), have been reported thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 229407.

Also 65 deaths have been reported,46 from Jammu Division and 19 from Kashmir Division.

Moreover, 3603 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 1316 from Jammu Division and 2287 from Kashmir Division.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 229407 positive cases, 51542 are Active Positive, 174953 have recovered and 2912have died; 1297in Jammu division and 1615 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 7775092 test results available, 7545685 samples have been tested as negative till May 12.

Till date 1932873 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 84984 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 51542 in isolation and 132262in home surveillance.

Besides, 1661173 persons have completed their surveillance period.(UNI)
