Covid guidelines for Mysuru Dasara issued

Mysuru Oct 5 : Only 500 people will be allowed for Jumbo ride as per the covid guidelines issued by Karnataka government during the famous Mysuru Dasara, according to an order issued by the state government.
Only 100 people would be allowed for the inauguration of the festival atop of Chamundi Hill and another 500 for cultural programmes, it said.
People who have received one dose of vaccine and undergone RTPCR test will be allowed in Dasara programmes, the order said.
The local artists will be given access to cultural programmes, it added.
Strict action will be taken against those who violate the covid guidelines, the order said.
Another 500 people will be allowed to witness the famous Dasara procession on October 15 to be held inside Mysuru Palace Courtyard, the order said.
Meanwhile, District Incharge Minister ST Somashekar officially invited Rajmata Pramoda Devi for Dasara festival.
Accepting the invitation, Rajmata said she would cooperate fully with the government in celebrating Dasara.
The world famous festival will be inaugurated by former union minister SM Krishna on October 7 and will end on October 15.(UNI)
