Covid-19: Prohibition in Mysore from Jun 21-Jul 5

Mysuru, Jun 20 : On the backdrop of the state government’s decision to extend the lockdown in Mysuru, Police commissioner Chandragupta issued prohibitory orders under section 144 from June 21 to July 5.
An order issued here on Sunday said that the Mysore district would continue to impose restrictions without any exemption from the government’s mandate to prevent the spread of covid-19 from public safety and hygiene.
The prohibitory orders were effected from 6.00 am on 21-6-2021 till 5.00 am on 5-7-2021.
During this period, the public cannot be together for more than 5 reasons. The public must comply with masks, maintain social distance and strictly adhere to the restrictions imposed by the government.
The public is not allowed to engage in any kind of rally, protest, or event in violation of rules. The concerned officers have been ordered to take action against those who violate the rules.
Any person who violates this Ordinance and the restrictions of the Government Reference Order shall be prosecuted against such persons by the Disaster Management Act, Section 5 to 60 of 2005 and Section 188 of the IPC and other statutory provisions.
The ordinance does not apply to those who are involved in covid-19 preventive work and to people involved in the covid vaccine.(UNI)
