Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 7 :Kerala reported 4,656 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 28 corona related deaths Today.

5,180 people recovered from the disease today, a press release from the health department said this evening.

“Meanwhile, 28 recent deaths were confirmed due to COVID today. About 106 deaths were also added to the list based on appeals seeking its inclusion in the list taking the death toll in the State to 41,902,” the release said.

About 67,437 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. Currently 1,64,650 people are under observation in the State – 1,59,936 are at their homes or institutional quarantine centres and 4,714 are in hospitals.

Today, 271 people infected with virus were admitted in hospitals of the State. Weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) is above 10 at 21 wards where strict restriction is being imposed.(UNI)
