Panaji, Sep 13 : Goa reported 54 new cases of COVID-19 and zero deaths during the past 24 hours, health department said Today.

According to the daily bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with these new cases, the number of cumulative cases in the state increased to 1,74,891 while the death toll stood at 3,217.

Ninety more recoveries were also reported during the past 24 hours, taking the number of recoveries in the state to 1,70,972.

Recovery rate in the state stands at 97.76 per cent.

Today, 45 patients were sent for home isolation, nine were admitted to hospitals while three were discharged.

As many as 3341 new samples were tested on Monday, taking the number of total samples tested so far to 12,69,754.

The number of active cases in the state currently stands at 702.(UNI)
