Panaji, Nov 22 : Goa recorded 16 new cases of COVID-19 and no related death during the past 24 hours, the health department said Today.

According to the daily bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with the addition of these new cases, the cumulative number of infections in the state rose to 1,78,677 while the death toll remained at 3,378.

A total of 20 more recoveries were also reported during the past 24 hours, taking the number of recovered cases in the state to 1,75,068.

Recovery rate in the state currently stands at 97.98 per cent.

On Monday, 13 patients were advised home isolation, three admitted to hospitals while one was discharged.

During the same period, as many as 2,127 new samples were tested, taking the number of tests conducted in the state so far to 15,26,248.

Currently, the state houses 231 active COVID-19 cases.(UNI)
