COVID: 12 students test positive in Navodaya Vidyalaya
Aurangabad, Mar 6 :Twelve students of Navodaya Vidyalaya at Gadhi in Georai taluka of Beed district in Marathwada region have been infected due to coronavirus on Friday.
While, two of the school principals and teacher’s families, as well as two staff members were also infected, report reaching from Beed stated.
District Collector Ravindra Jagtap immediately visited the place and reviewed the measures being taken by the school administration.
The affected students have been kept in isolation in the dormitory while the houses of other affected students have been separated.
The District Collector directed the RT PCR test of all students, teachers, staff and their families.
However ,in view of spreading out the coronavirus Mr Jagtap has issued orders to close weekly markets, yatras and private tuition classes in Beed district till March 31.
He announced the new rules in the review meeting of all the agencies yesterday.
According to the rules, stamps will now be stamped on the hands of the persons in the house separation. Public gatherings and meetings have been cancelled. (UNI)
