HYDERABAD, OCT22 :AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge has appointed Syed Khalid Saifullah as the Vice-Chairman of the Indian National Congress (INC)’s Data and Technology Department.

Khalid Saifullah, a Hyderabad-based software professional with over 20 years of IT industry experience, has previously worked with companies like Google, Invesco, Ness, and Dell. He gained recognition for his social welfare initiatives, including the Missing Voters App, Free Ration App, and Free Oxygen App, which were widely covered by global media.

Khalid has contributed significantly to Congress’s tech initiatives, developing platforms like ‘donateinc’, a crowdfunding tool, and ‘awaazbharaki’, a manifesto management portal. He also created a photo search AI tool for the Bharat Jodo Yatra and a membership portal for the All India Mahila Congress.

Khalid expressed his gratitude to Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and Praveen Chakravarty, pledging to continue leveraging data and technology for the party’s growth.

Praveen Chakravarty, Chairman of INC’s Data & Analytics Department, praised Khalid’s promotion, recognizing his dedication and contributions over the past six years, a statement here said on Tuesday.
