Chennai, Jan 28 : A day after Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin announced easing of more curbs, including re-opening of schools and colleges for all classes from February one, Higher Education Minister K. Ponmudi today said the end semester exams would be held online only. Talking to reporters at Villuppuram, he said exams for students in their first to fifth semesters in colleges in the State, will be held online, clearing the doubts among a section of the students as the schools/colleges were scheduled to re-open from February one. “There need not be any doubt. The exams for students from semesters one, third and fifth in government arts and science colleges, private colleges affiliated to all universities, engineering and polytechnic institutions will be held online. Students will attend practical exams and offline classes on days when there are no online exams,” he said, adding the schedule of examinations had been sent by the universities to the affiliated colleges. (UNI)
