Aurangabad/Mumbai, May 21 :With the demise of Padma Vibhushan Sunderlal Bahuguna, the country has lost a nature sage Today said Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

In his condolence message Mr Thackeray stated, “From the Chipko movement, Mr Bahuguna not only saved the trees but also took the environmental protection movement from house to house.”

“He raised his voice for the rights of the common man. Bahuguna, who sacrificed his life for the protection of the environment, was an inspiration to environmentalists around the world. We have lost the nature sage who had the utmost respect for nature. A heartfelt tribute to Bahuguna,” he stated.(UNI)
