Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 15 : Trivandrum Lulu mall, Kerala’s biggest shopping centre, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan here on Thursday.

The Biggest mall in the country is built with high facilities costing Rs 2,000 crore investment. Mall built in around 20 lakh square feet area is located at the most developed centre in capital, near Technopark at Akkulam.

The main highlight of the mall would be the 2-lakh square-feet hypermarket with high-level amenities and collections, Yusuf Ali MA, Executive Director, Lulu Group, told a press conference here on Wednesday.

With groceries, fresh fruits and vegetables, variety of other essentials, bakery, organic food, health care product section etc hypermarket offers unique and more facilities.

Apart from this special sections are there for Indian and Arabic food items. Products acquired from Kudumbasree are also made available at hypermarket.

For fashion lovers, the centre would be the best choice starting from casual wears to bridal ones. More than 200 internationally reputed brands are available for newlyweds and bridal shopping.

To make shopping time more relaxed and comfortable, Lulu Mall arranged the biggest fun zone for kids. Funtura, the entertainment zone built on 80,000 square feet area has the most amazing fun tasks for kids. Zip line is an inter travel zone which takes customers to the whole mall route as an adventurous ride.

After heart filled shopping experience one may leave with fulfilled tummy too. Lulu has arranged 2500-seater Food court with wide range of cuisines from various parts of the world, from Star bucks cafe to restaurants with traditional food varieties.

“The most daring question for a family to go for hour-long shopping would be where to find a parking slot. Considering this worry we have arranged multi-level parking system along the Mall.” the official said.

“The parking capacity is 3,500 vehicles at a time, which would be the first setup anywhere else in the city. We have both in-house and outdoor parking slots ready for your vehicle to rest,” he added.

For the smooth entry and exit at the Mall, we have separate parking management team as well. British based renowned architect firm Design International has done the parking and structural designs for the mall.

Opposition leader Shri. V D Satheeshan will chair the function. Central Minister V Muraleedharan, will attend the function apart from the cabinet ministers from Kerala. The Mall will be opened for public right from the next day after inauguration, ie on Friday, December 17.

Shashi Tharoor MP, Senior most IUML leader P K Kunjalikutty and eminent personalities from political, cultural sphere, topmost ministerial and business faces from UAE and Gulf region will also join the inauguration.
