MIRZAPUR (UP), JULY 14 :  Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren along with his wife Kalpana Soren on Sunday visited and worshipped the presiding deity of Vindhya region, Maa Vindhyavasini Devi.

After being released from jail, the Jharkhand CM of Jharkhand reached the temple of revered Maa Vindhyavasini Devi and expressed his gratitude to the goddess. All the religious rituals were performed by local priest Rajan Pathak.

Soren prayed to the mother with full rituals. During this, tight security arrangements were made. He was welcomed by Additional District Magistrate Shiv Pratap Shukla on behalf of the district administration.

The Jharkhand CM reached here to express his gratitude to the goddess after his wish to be released from jail was fulfilled. There is an ancient tradition of making a wish and getting it fulfilled. According to sources, after the wish of Hemant Soren to be released from jail was fulfilled, Maa Vindhyavasini was worshipped.

Before his arrival, all the preparations were completed by his priest. He completed all the religious rituals along with his wife after which he left for Varanasi.(UNI)
