CLP leader Batti kick starts cycle rally against Petrol, diesel prices hike

Bhadrachalam (Telangana), Mar 7 : After successfully completion of his 14-days pada yatra in support of farmers against the central farm laws, in Khammam district in last month, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu kickstarter his 213-km long yatra on bicycle here on Sunday in protest against the skyrocketing prices of petrol, diesel and liquefied petroleum gas (refill of domestic gas cylinder).
The Cycle Yatra was also aimed at campaigning for party’s Tribal candidate Sabavath Ramulu Naik, who is contesting from Nalgonda-Warangal-Khammam Graduates MLC constituency going to poll on March 14..
After offering prayers at Sri Sitarama Swamy temple here, Bhatti started his 6-day cycle tour which will conclude on March 12, for Congress MLC candidate in erstwhile Khammam district.
Though the cycle yatra was aimed at connecting with the graduate voters, covers six assembly segments, Bhatti would cover farmers and other people explaining them about rising prices of petrol, diesel and gas, unemployment problem, vacancies not being filled up in the government sector and ill effects of the new farm laws of the central government.
Addressing the media on the sidelines of cycle yatra, CLP leader said that the youth should teach a lesson to both TRS and BJPwhich have betrayed them on the issues of creating employment opportunities and filling up vacancies in the government sector, he alleged.
Voting to ruling TRS candidate is equivalent to suicide, Bhatti said that PM Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao are responsible for petrol and diesel hike, as both are imposing heavy taxes on oil.
Due to price rises, the common man is facing unbearable burden, he pointed out.
In the Congress regime, the taxes imposed on petrol and diesel were rational, he claimed.
It was Congress government which has developed public sector units and provided employment to poor and backward classes, bunt the BJP and TRS are privatizing the PSUs and compelling the middle class towards economic backwardness, he alleged.
In upcoming MLC elections, he appealed to the graduates and unemployed youth to vote for Ramulu Naik, who has the ability to raise the voice against the draconian rule in the Legislative Council. (UNI)
