Class X exams cancelled in Goa, decision on Class XII exams soon
Panaji, May 23 : Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant Today said that the state government had cancelled Class X exams due to outbreak of Covid -19.
In a video message, he said the decision on Class XII examinations would be taken soon.
He said the decision was taken based on recommendations of officials of Goa Board of Seconday and Higher Secondary Education and Education Department and experts from the education field.
The Chief Minister said marks for Class X exams would be alloted based on internal assessment during during the academic year 2020-21.
Dr Sawant said if someone fails in one or two subjects, he/she would be allowed to appear for Allowed to Keep Terms (ATKT) examination and those willing to opt for Science and Diploma stream would have to appear for one-day examination to be conducted by Goa Board.
The Chief Minister said students would be informed about the one-day examination 15 days in advance.(UNI)
