Chennai: Jan 18 : Celebrity couple Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajnikanth

have announced that they are parting ways after 18 years of marriage life.

Both National award-winning actor Dhanush and Aishwarya, who is the

daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth, confirmed their separation in their

twitter handle.

The couple have two sons.

Dhanu tweeted, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and

well-wishers to each other… The journey has been of growth, understanding,

adjusting, and adapting.”

“Today we stand at a place where our paths separate… We have decided to

part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the

better”, he said.

“Please do respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with

this…Om Namashivaya ! Spread love”, Dhanush said in the tweet posted late

last night.

The announcement took the film fraternity by surprise.(UNI)
