BRS MLC Kasireddy joins Congress in New Delhi
HYDERABAD/NEW DELHI, OCT 6 : In a major setback to the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana, party MLC Kasireddy Narayana Reddy joined the Congress party in New Delhi on Friday.
He joined the Congress party in the presence of AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge.
Speaking on the occasion, Telangana Pradesh Congress committee (TPCC) President Revanth Reddy said that people have understood that both BJP and BRS are one party as the have an understanding between them in the General elections.
The BJP and BRS have a strong bond, he claimed and criticized BJP as shield against the corruption of BRS.
Reddy alleged that the steering of BJP is in the hands of Adani and the steering of BRS is in the hands of AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi.
Leaders are coming into Congress even though it is not in power, the TPCC Chief said the BRS priorities are Elections, Votes, Seats, however, Congress’s priority is the welfare of the people.
He said said that Kasireddy, Mynampally, and Rekha Naik joined the Congress after holding posts. It will be known in 45 days who are the dwarves…who are the people.
The TPCC President said that he will conduct an inquiry when he comes to power. “Are you calling us dwarfs? What is KCR? Baahubali?,” he said.
He reminded that Congress made Harish Rao a Minister without being an MLA.
BJP has no candidates. There is no manifesto, he said.
Revanth Reddy said that late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy has implemented and demonstrated the guarantee of free electricity.
Congress was not in power when Telangana came. You have been in power for two times after Telangana came. Are you ready to discuss our ten-year rule in the combined State and your ten-year rule in Telangana?” the Congress leader posed a challenge to BRS.
Revanth commented that it seems that new lies are being prepared in the name of Manifesto.
He accused them of extortion in the name of Telangana sentiment.
The TPCC President said that the expenditure incurred on the construction of the Martyrs’ Stupa, Ambedkar statue, and Secretariat, and the tenders called, are not comparable.
He said that Rs.1200 crore have been spent on the construction of the secretariat when only Rs.400 crores was estimated.
Reddy asked BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind to tell him where the turmeric board will be constructed.
He claimed that all the surveys indicate that the Congress party will win the next Assembly election . Revanth Reddy made it clear that six guarantees have been given to the people and they will be fulfilled.(UNI)
