Hyderabad, June 23 :Accusing Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) of conspiring to privatise Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) and shifting blame onto the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the Centre, State President Bandi Sanjay Kumar has firmly declared that the privatisation of Singareni would not be allowed under any circumstances.Speaking at a public rally in Bhupalpally as part of the Maha Jana Sampark Abhiyan on Thursday, Sanjay asserted, “If there is any attempt to privatise Singareni Collieries, we will hold KCR accountable and take to the streets. He assured the gathering that if the BJP is elected to power in the upcoming assembly elections, it would settle all outstanding coal purchase dues owed by the state government to Singareni Collieries.Sanjay further alleged collusion between the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the Congress, accusing them of attempting to undermine the BJP’s standing in Telangana. He cited the recent meeting between KCR’s son and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi as part of this alleged conspiracy under the guise of developmental works. The BJP president criticised both the BRS and the Congress for baselessly accusing the Centre of not cooperating with the state in developmental programs.Highlighting the Telangana BJP’s “BJP at Every Doorstep” initiative, Sanjay praised party workers for reaching out to 35 lakh families and expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response received from the people.Taking a swipe at the BRS and Congress leaders, Sanjay defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting his administration’s numerous welfare programs, including housing for three crore people, Ujjwala gas connections for 10 crore women, construction of 11 crore toilets, free ration for 80 crore people, and the provision of free COVID-19 vaccines to millions.Sanjay accused KCR of failing to fulfill many of his pre-election promises during his nine years in power, alleging that the Chief Minister’s primary objective was amassing wealth rather than serving the people.(UNI)
