Nashik, Mar 21 : The BJP activists on Sunday staged protests in Nashik and Jalgaon districts demanding resignation of state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh following the allegation made by former Mumbai Police commissioner Param Bir Singh.

The activists, led by Yeola BJP president Tarang Gujarathi, gathred at Vinchur Chowfuli area of the town and staged a protest.

They demanded that the Home Minister should resign immediately or the Chief Minister should take his resignation.

They said the letter written by former Mumbai Police chief and the chats attached to that letter were not just shocking but serious evidence.

Similarly, the BJP office-bearers in Jamner tehsil of Jalgaon district demanded that Home Minister Anil Deshmukh should resign for an impartial inquiry.

A symbolic effigy of the state Home Minister was also burnt by the BJP in the morning at Palika Chowk.(UNI)
