WASHINGTON, AUG 25 : US President Joe Biden is closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East, where Israel and Lebanese movement Hezbollah exchanged strikes, and has ordered US officials to be in constant contact with the Israeli side, the New York Times reported, citing US National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett.

According to the publication, Savett also stressed that the United States would continue to support Israel in its right to self-defense.(UNI)
