Bhadra Maruti Mandir to be closed for weekend owing to lockdown
Aurangabad, Mar 13 : Owing to the weekend lockdown imposed by the Aurangabad district administration to curb the COVID cases, the famous Bhadra Maruti Mandir will remain closed for devotees on Saturday and Sunday.
The decision to close the Lord Hanuman temple was taken by the Bhadra Maruti Mandir Sansthan.
Mithu Patil Bargal, president of Mandir Sansthan, also urged the devotees to not visit the temple to offer prayer on the weekends and also avoid crowding the temple on week days.
As the ‘Amavasya’ is being observed across the country, the temple administration has also taken some measures if some ardent devotees come to offer prayer.
Aurangabad city is considered as the state capital of tourism. Tourists across the globe come here to pay obeisance to Lord Hanuman.
Earlier, District Collector Sunil Chavan had ordered to close all tourist places in the district, including Ellora-Ajanta Caves, till April 4.
The district has imposed a ‘partial lockdown’ between March 11 and April 4. During the period, markets, malls and cinema halls, heritage sites and other establishments will remain shut.
However, essential service can be availed during the restrictions.

On Friday, the district reported a record 617 Covid cases, surging the tally to 55,958. The district had also witnessed six fatalities in the past 24 hours, mounting the death toll to 1,326.(UNI)
