Attack on BJP MLA : BJP workers stage protest at Barara
Ambala, Mar 30 :Agitated BJP workers on Tuesday gathered at Maharana Partap Chowk Barara and Naraingarh to protest the attack on Abohar MLA Arun Narang.
The protesting workers took out procession and burnt the effigy of Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh. They said that the Congress was responsible for the incident which was unheard in the political history. They demanded strict action against the guilty.
The BJP leaders said that law and order situation in Punjab was deteriorating under the Congress rule.
Meanwhile, Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) President Gurnam Singh Chaduni, in an advise released here today, said that a conspiracy was hatched to defame the farmers who were holding protests against the government peacefully, demanding withdrawal of three farm laws.
He said that the farmers could not indulge in such an act of attacking the MLA. On the other hand, he said that the BJP was responsible for doing such acts to defame the farmers.
The BKU leader appealed to the farmers not to go the place where the BJP workers would hold demonstration. They need not go there. He said that the BJP would organize demonstrations under conspiracy on March 31 but the farmers would act with restraint and no body would interfere with their programme.(UNI)
