HYDERABAD: Kollur police detained four people on Wednesday, one of them being a maid servant, for allegedly robbing their employer’s house last month of 75 tolas of gold and Rs. 6.50 lakh in cash.
G Vineet, the deputy commissioner of police for the Madhapur zone, stated that the theft occurred when the employer left her two employees at the villa while she was out of town. When she got back from her trip to Delhi, the jewels had vanished, so she filed a report. In her complaint, she blamed her servant Prabhakar Mallik.
From Gopanpally, a police squad collected Prabhakar and the three other suspects, Tapan Das, Sachindra Das, and Deepu, and questioned them. Prabhakar claimed to have witnessed his employer frequently removing gold and other items from the cabinet.

When his employer is out of station, he hatches a plan to take them, according to the police. Prabhakar gave his three associates the pilfered money. All of the other suspects, with the exception of Sachindra, left for their own countries. When the accused went back to Gopanpally on Monday, the police caught them. Police took 963 grams of gold and Rs 2.90 lakh in cash from the offenders.
