Assam: Probe ordered into death of a tourist during paragliding
Guwahati, Jan 28 : A probe has been ordered into the death of a tourist in a resort in Assam’s Tinsukia district after he fell from the parachute during a paragliding ride, officials informed Today. 35-year-old Pankaj Gogoi fell down while paragliding at a temporary resort set up on Dibru riverbed in Assam’s Tinsukia district. The district administration suspended all activities of the resort and ordered a magisterial probe into the incident. The paraglider, fell from the parachute when the jeep pulling it got stuck in the river sand on Wednesday afternoon. He was critically injured and succumbed to his injuries while being taken to hospital, an official said. (UNI)
