Arriving in Jaipur is French President Emmanuel Macron.
NEW DELHI, JAN 25 : French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Jaipur on Thursday to attend the 75th Republic Day in the National capital on Friday.
The French President was received by the Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
During his few hours stay, Macron will visit Jaipur’s stunning hilltop fort of Amber, iconic Hawa Mahal and astronomical observation site of Jantar Mantar, and hold a roadshow along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The two leaders will hold official talks at Rambagh Palace hotel in the evening.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, he will depart for Delhi at around 8.50 pm.
Macron will be the chief guest at the 75th Republic Day celebrations on the invitation of Modi.
The contingents from France include a 33-member band and a 95-member marching contingent which will take part in the Republic Day parade.
Rafale fighter jets and an Airbus A330 multi-role tanker transport aircraft of the French Air Force will take part in the flypast.
The French President will also meet President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.(UNI)
