VISAKHAPATNAM (ANDHRA PRADESH), OCT 31 : A fire broke out at the main branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) in the Old Jail Road here on Thursday.

On information, firefighters reached the spot and doused the flames without casuing any major damage to the bank’s property, police said here.

Since the bank was closed today, due to Diwali, no untoward incident took place.

The fire might have been caused due to a short circuit.
