VIJAYAWADA, JUNE 6   :   In a sudden development, Andhra Pradesh government Chief Secretary K S Jawahar Reddy went on leave on Thursday.

The General Administration department chief directed the Chief Secretary to go on leave.The Chief Secretary applied for leave and it was sanctioned.

It may be mentioned here that the Opposition TDP, JSP and BJP demanded the Election Commission of India the transfer of Chief Secretary Jawhar Reddy and DGP KV Rajendranath Reddy to conduct the elections in a fair manner.

The Opposition party alleged that the Chief Secretary was acting in a biased manner since he was very close to Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

However, the ECI transferred DGP KV Rajendranath Reddy but allowed the Chief Secretary to continue.
Interestingly, senior IAS officer, Principal Secretary of Finance Department SS Rawat also went on leave.
Senior IPS officer AP CID Chief N Sanjay also was sanctioned leave and he planned to go abroad.
However the officials cancelled his leave. CID Chief Sanjay investigated the Skill Development case in which Chandrababu Naidu was allegedly involved.
CID chief Sanjay faced allegations of holding press conferences in Hyderabad and Delhi to reveal Skill Development scam to the media defying the rules.

In another interesting development on Thursday, several senior IAS and IPS officers tried to meet TDP chief and Chief Minister designate Chandrababu Naidu in his riverfront residence at Undavalli but they were denied appointment.(UNI)
