AP CM queries PM over NDA’s ability to grant SCS

VISAKHAPATNAM, MAY 7   :    Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi whether the National Democratic Alliance can guarantee Special Category Status to the state while addressing the election campaign in Gajuwaka, near here on Tuesday.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi blamed Chandrababu Naidu in the previous elections for turning Polavaram into an ATM. Interestingly, the very Prime Minister who called Chandrababu Naidu as highly corrupt, is now praising him because of their alliance with the TDP. It is for people to reflect on the depth of political maneuvering and the extent to which allegiances shift according to circumstances,” Chief Minister Jagan Reddy stated.

“If you vote for NDA and TDP, they will privatize the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, and if you do not want that to happen, vote for the YSRCP,” Jagan Reddy called on people. “Ex-Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu sought help in Delhi through his sister-in-law (BJP AP Chief D Purandeswari) to stop the ongoing welfare distribution in the state during the election campaign meeting at Rajanagaram in East Godavari,” Jagan Reddy claimed.

“Now TDP, with the help of Delhi, is stalling the distribution of DBT financial assistance on ongoing welfare schemes of the state like pensions, and input subsidy, among others,” said the Chief Minister regretted. Stating that for the past 5 years the beneficiaries have been receiving social security pensions at the doorstep in the YSRCP regime, he lamented that because of Chandrababu Naidu they are now running pillar to post to collect their pensions,” Jagan Reddy lashed out.

Addressing the people in Ichchapuram, Chief Minister Y S Jagan said, “People of the state are aware of the drama and schemes the opposition is orchestrating. The power of the people lies in their vote, and they will use it to make their voices heard in Delhi,” he told the voters.(UNI)
