AP CM performs bhoomi pooja for construction of Krishna temple
Vijayawada, Feb 18 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy performed bhoomi pooja for the construction of Krishna temple, being constructed by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) at Kolanukonda village near here Today. The ISKCON is constructing the Krishna temple at a cost of Rs 70 crore. The Chief Minister also inaugurated Akshayapatra, the centralized kitchen of ISKCON at Atmakur village near Mangalagiri town in Guntur district. The ISKCON’s centralized kitchen would provide meals to be served in the mid-day meals in schools. ISKCON representatives told media that it is constructing Radha Krishna temple, Venkateswara Swamy temple, yoga centre, cultural expo, samskar hall, Bhagavad Gita museum, a cow care centre, and dance hall at Kolanukonda village at a cost of Rs 70 crore. This is the biggest project of ISKCON in the state. (UNI)
