KADAPA, AP, OCT 23 : As many as 25 passengers were injured when an APSRTC bus in which they were travelling plunged into a gorge at Pulivendula in YSR district on Wednesday.

Police said that the Pallevelugu RTC bus was going to Pulivendula from Kadiri when the accident occurred.

The bus plunged into a deep gorge after the driver lost control of the vehicle after he applied a sudden brake to avoid a collision with a vehicle coming from the opposite direction near a dumping yard on the outskirts of Pulivendula town.

As many as 25 bus passengers suffered various degrees of injuries. The injured were admitted to the GGH where the condition of two of the injured was said to be critical.

MLC Bhumireddy Ramgoal Reddy and Municipal chairman Vara Prasad visited the injured in the hospital.
