All parties agreed on intensifying Parbhani Medical College agitation

Parbhani, Sep 13 : A ‘chakka jam’ or road blockade agitation will be held across this district on September 21 over the delay in setting up the Parbhani Government Medical College, announced an all-party delegation Today.
Post recent massive ‘We Parbhanikars’ agitation over the issue, an all-party meeting was held at the B Raghunath Hall here under the leadership of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Jadhav.
The formal gathering, attended by the Congress and NCP leaders, chalked out future course of action and agreed upon ‘chakka jam’ followed by other means of protests in later stages.
It has been decided that all-party delegation will meet Parbhani Guardian Minister Nawab Malik on September 17 which marks the Marathwada Mukti Sangram day.
Also on the same day, all the gram panchayats of the district will submit a resolution to the government through their respective tehsildar to set up the college at the earliest.
Even then if the matter remain unresolved, a ‘chakka jam’ has been planned on September 21, after which a chain fast will be initiated on October 2 which is Gandhi Jayanti.
Whereas, a meeting for the land parcel required for the college will be held with Industries Minister Subhash Desai next week in Mumbai, the delegation apprised.
The meeting was attended by Congress Pathri MLA Suresh Varpudkar, NCP MLC Babajani Durrani, Shiv Sena local MLA Dr. Rahul Patil, former Congress MLA Suresh Deshmukh and Republican Sena’s Vijay Wakode among other dignitaries.(UNI)
