Hyderabad, April 13 :Special Sessions Court for MLA and MP cases on Wednesday acquitted AIMIM leader and party’s floor leader in Telangana Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi in two hate speech cases registered against him in 2012. Akbaruddin, the younger brother of All India Majils-e-Ittehadul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief and Hyderabad MP, Asaduddin Owaisi, was booked under relevant sections of the IPC for making a “hate” speech wherein he allegedly used inflammatory and derogatory language against a community at a public meeting at Nizamabad and Nirmal town in Telangana in December 2012, appeared before the court today. The Court, on Tuesday, after completion of arguments by defence and prosecution, deferred the verdict to Wednesday. The Court acquitted the Majlis leader after the prosecution had failed to prove the cases against the legislator in the hate speech cases and directed Akbaruddin not to make any controversial speeches in future, keeping in view the National integrity. Security had been beefed up in the old city of Hyderabad as a precautionary measure in view of the verdict in the Akbaruddin’s hate speech cases.
