Hyderabad, Feb 25: To tickle the taste buds of food lovers of Hyderabad, an Afghan food festival will be conducted here in the coming April  by the Afghan Consulate .

Well known women chefs will be flown from Afghanistan to prepare a variety of Afghan dishes  during the festival, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Hyderabad Muhammed Suleman Kakar announced on Wednesday.

A cultural festival will also be organised during which Afghan handicrafts, handlooms, fashions and other artefacts would be put on display.

The proposed food and cultural festival was part of the Consulate’s plans to cement Indo-Afghan relations. (UNI)
