New Delhi, Jan 10 : WhatsApp is releasing a new feature that allows its WhatsApp Business beta users filter their chats and messages using advanced search filters – Contacts, Non-contacts and Unread.

“When you use these options, you can quickly view results that meet your condition, and you can even combine different conditions – for example, searching for photos from non-contacts,” a post on WABetaInfo read.

This feature is available for both Android and iOS users. However, WhatsApp has no plans to release the feature on WhatsApp Messenger as it is more useful on WhatsApp Business.

The messaging app is reportedly also planning to move the Broadcast Lists and New Group buttons to another part of the app.

There are reports that suggest WhatsApp is working on a new feature – Communities.

“…we have also noticed new hidden references about communities, a new place where to link up to 10 groups at once, available in a future update, in particular a new mysterious group,” read another report on WABetaInfo.

It has recently rolled out a feature for its WhatsApp Messenger beta testers on iOS where users can see profile photos in notifications. The feature is expected to be made available to other users soon.(UNI)
