Aditi Tatkare: ‘CM-Majhi Ladki Bahin’ program should be implemented effectively.

MUMBAI, JULY 5 :  To effectively implement the chief Minister-Majhi Ladki Bahin’scheme, local people’s representatives and administration officials must world in close coordination, Maharashtra Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare said on Friday.

Speaking in a meeting held under her chairmanship at the state secretariat Mantralaya, she said local people’s representatives, Tehsildars, Talathis, Supervisors and Ward Officers need to work in a spirit of harmony so as to ensure the scheme reaches the last woman in society.

The scheme entails a monthly allowance of Rs 1500 to women beneficiaries between 21 and 65 years.
Secretary of Women and Child Development Department Dr. Anup Kumar Yadav, Commissioner Kailas Pawar were present in this meeting. Officers across the state took part in the deliberations through video communication.

Tatkare said complete information boards of the scheme should be installed in the Anganwadi Centre so that all women understand the eligibility and disqualification criteria related to the scheme.

Also, instructions should be given by the department not to take any money while filling out the offline form.

A WhatsApp group for every Anganwadi worker should be created at the Taluka village level, and detailed information about this scheme should be given to that group. Each Anganwadi worker will get a remuneration of Rs 50 for each form.

Therefore, care should also be taken to ensure that no kind of fraud or asking for money will happen, she said.

Iterating that the scheme can be successful only with the cooperation of the parties concerned at the village and taluka levels, the minister said Anganwadis are open for four hours in the morning. After that, one-hour training should be given online to every Anganwadi worker and helper, she added.(UNI)
