According to Owaisi, MIM will reject CAA.
HYDERABAD FEB 11 : Asaduddin Owaisi, the head of AIMIM, declared that his party would keep opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), which is intended to be put into effect before to the Lok Sabha elections.
He stated that the MIM had been assured that Telangana state will not host the National Populatin Register (NPR) or the National Register of Citizens (NRC) during the time of the census.
In response to a question regarding Amit Shah, the Home Minister, stating that the CAA will be implemented prior to the legislative elections, he stated, “This law is based on religion.” We have never opposed the repatriation of Hindus, Sikhs, and other individuals residing in Pakistan, Afghanistan, or Bangladesh to India.
But one cannot look at the CAA by itself—there is also the NRC and NPR. This law will cause problems for Dalits, Muslims, and low-income members of many communities. Those who want to split the nation should be avoided, and they shouldn’t be permitted to win 370 seats.
“An MP belonging to the Shinde faction which has aligned with the BJP in Maharashtra was found saying in Parliament that the late PM had asked that his prayer should not to be disturbed even as the Babri Masjid was being demolished,” the speaker said, bestowing the Bharat Ratna upon former prime minister P.V. Narasimha Rao.
On Sunday, the MP dedicated `7.2 crore worth of municipal development projects in the Yakutpura Assembly seat.
