AAP releases manifesto for UP Assembly polls

Lucknow, Jan 27 :The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Today  released its manifesto for Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, terming it as party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s guarantee letter. AAP announced that it will reinstate the Old Pension Scheme of the state government employees, will provide chambers to advocates and Rs 10 lakh of life insurance to each of them and Rs 10 lakh insurance to each of the journalists, among several other announcements, if voted to power. The manifesto was issued by AAP leader and MP Sanjay Singh, flanked by AAP state president Sabhajeet Singh and AAP leader Vaibhav Maheshwari at dais during a press conference here. Besides the above said promises, the AAP assured jobs to 10 lakh youth in each year of its tenure, all across Uttar Pradesh, free travel to women, 300 units of free electricity supply, waiving off old bills, round-the-supply of electricity and teaching of Constitution of India in all government-run schools. It further promised waiving off farmers’ loans, providing crop cost within 24 hours in farmers’ bank accounts, increasing sugarcane price every year, providing payment of sugarcane immediately after its unloading at sugar mill, Rs one crore compensation to each of the martyred Armymen/ policemen and government job to a member in the family, Rs one crore compensation to those who lost their lives in Corona duty and government job to a member in the family. Singh said the party will set up village clinics and Mohalla clinics in each village and mohalla, form a special policy to resolve the issues related to Bundelkhand and Poorvanchal, UP youths will get 80 per cent reservation in government jobs, complete teachers’ recruitment for 97000 posts within a month after forming the government, appointment of eligible candidates in compliance with the Supreme Court’s order on Bed TET 2011, immediate resolving of the issue of 45000 jawans of PRD (Prantiya Raksha Dal) and cutting the fee for BEd and BTC by 50 per cent. He said the AAP government will ensure minimum stipend of Rs 25,000 to private teachers of private schools for teaching work, will provide legal guarantee to MSP and will name it MSP guarantee law, will provide Rs 50,000 per hectare compensation in case of loss of crops due to flood and other natural calamities, Rs 2000 as allowance to those helping accident victim in reaching hospital under Farishtey Scheme, identity cards to all the vendors and Rs 10 lakh insurance to each of them and will regularize in government jobs to the agitating Shiksha Mitras by resolving their demands. Singh said the AAP government will fulfill its each of the promise on forming a government in UP and appealed to the public to give AAP a chance. Singh said AAP had given preference to all round development of UP and to people of all castes, religion, community, government and non government employees, farmers, workers, labourers, youths, students and women. “AAP has brought a dream to come true in Uttar Pradesh through Kejriwal’s Guarantee Letter (manifesto). Ours had a track record of ushering into gold by way of fulfilling what we promised and the AAP’s manifesto was not a wish-list of day dreamers, neither a tall talk, nor a farce. We do what we promise and this is our agreement with the people of UP,” a visibly charged Singh said. He said Corona warriors were insulted a lot in the present regime. “The families of the corona warriors and the doctors who lost their lives in the line of duty will be given Rs 1 crore as compensation and a job to a member in the family,” he said. Mr Singh said the AAP government will lay a CCTV cover deep inside the localities for the safety and security of women. “We will also secure the lives of vendors issuing them identity cards and life insurance of Rs 10 lakh to them,” he said. He said the AAP government will give chambers to advocates, life insurance of Rs 10 lakh to them, their fee for registration in bar council and Rs 5000 per month allowance for three year after registration in bar council. “We will get probed monetary scams, be it Jal Jeevan Shakti Mission or Kumbh, or of land fraud in construction of Lord Sriram temple,” he said. He said AAP will start the Farishtey scheme in UP, under which a victim of an accident will get free treatment at government or private hospital as the government will bear all the expenses on it. “Also those helping the victims in reaching the hospital will be getting Rs 2000 as allowance,” he said. Singh said AAP will set up good hospitals in tehsils, districts and cities for people of UP. “We will set up faster courts to dispose of the pending cases. The homeguards will be deployed in schools. The inspector Rule in business will be ended to save traders from unnecessary extortion” he said. Singh said the AAP will start the Jaha Jhuggi waha Makan (get a house, where there is your shanty ) scheme in UP. “We will start Teerth Yatra Yojna and will develop the places of tourism,” he added. (UNI)
