GORAKHPUR, JULY 6 :  Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that investing in children’s education is crucial for the bright future of the society and the country as it serves as the foundation for the holistic development of individuals, society and the nation.

Addressing a ceremony after inaugurating the Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Balika Vidyalaya in Siswa Anantapur, Sahjanwa, the CM said that contributions to the field of education are never wasted.

“The government is dedicated to working with complete honesty and commitment to secure a bright future for both current and future generations,” he said.

He said, “Today marks the beginning of the first Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Balika Vidyalaya (Ashram Paddhati) in Gorakhpur. For boys, two Ashram Paddhati schools are already operational in this district.”

Yogi said that the Department of Social Welfare has rapidly advanced the process of setting up Sarvodaya schools for girls as well.

“To ensure excellent education for girls, the government is also upgrading Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools in every block up to the 12th grade,” he said.

He said that a large number of Ashram Paddhati schools are being built across the state.
“The Department of Social Welfare is also constructing Eklavya Model Residential Schools in tribal areas following this model. The government has decided to rapidly establish CM Composite Schools and Abhyudaya Schools in every district,” he said.
The CM said that Atal Residential Schools have been opened in every division under the free residential scheme for the children of construction workers and destitute children, where all arrangements have been made for their education up to the 12th grade.

He said, “After completing their education up to the 12 grade, students can prepare for medical, engineering, UPSC, Army, and Bank PO exams at Abhyudaya Coaching Centers. These centres feature excellent faculty and guidance from successful officials who have passed competitive exams. Abhyudaya Coaching is available both physically and virtually.”

Yogi said that the girls attending Sarvodaya Balika Vidyalaya have arrived through competition from various places, adding that they will not only build successful careers but also bring pride to the state and the country.

He appealed to the school’s principal to organise the girls’ studies and daily routines and involve them in skill development, sports, and social awareness activities.

“If any girl has a special talent, she should be given an appropriate platform,” he said.
Praising the school campus, its auditorium and available facilities, the CM said, “This school would prove to be a significant opportunity for the girls of Purvanchal.”

The CM also interacted with the newly admitted girls, encouraging them to study hard and blessing them for a bright future. The girls were visibly delighted to meet the CM.

The Jaiprakash Narayan Sarvodaya Balika Vidyalaya, run by the Social Welfare Department, has been constructed at a cost Rs 35.33 crore. This year, 210 girls have been admitted here.

The state government provides excellent education along with free boarding, textbooks, uniforms and sports facilities in these schools.

Sixty per cent of the students at the school are from Scheduled Castes and Tribes, 25 per cent from other backward classes, and 15 per cent from the general category whereas 85 per cent of the total students come from rural areas.(UNI)
