Thane, Mar 30 : With the detection of 3144 new COVID-19 cases, the total tally has surged to 3,12,705, authorities said Today.
While 10 more succumbed in the last 24 hrs, the total number of deaths has mounted to 6454.
The mortality rate stands at 2.06 per cent, he added.
So far, 2,77,536 patients have recuperated from the infection, which took the recovery rate to 88.75 per cent. There are 28,715 active cases in the district at present, the official said.
In neighboring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count has gone up to 49,706 while the death toll was 1,223, he said.(UNI)
