Bengaluru, Mar 29: Former Karnataka Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi appeared before SIT for questioning with regard to the rape case registered against him by the woman allegedly in a controversial CD with him.

The SIT team had served a notice to Ramesh to appear on Monday around 10 am.

The woman had filed a complaint with Cubbon Park Police through her advocate on March 26. After SIT recorded the statements of the woman’s parents and brothers, she had alleged that SIT is questioning her parents instead of treating her complaint seriously and questioning Ramesh Jarkiholi. According to the police, Ramesh has carried some materials with him to produce before the investigating officer.

Ramesh Jarkiholi was questioned twice by the SIT officials with respect to his complaint with Sadashivanagar police station against unknown persons. Today, he is appearing for the third time, but it is the first interrogation after the woman filed a complaint against him.(UNI)
