Hyderabad, Mar 21:Ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has won both the seats for which elections were conducted to the state Legislative Council from graduates constituencies on March 14.
Wresting the seat from the BJP, TRS candidate and daughter of former Prime MInister P.V.Narasimha Rao, Vani Devi won over sitting BJP MLC N.Ramchander Rao from the Mahabubnagar-Ranga Reddy-Hyderabad graduates constituency.
The TRS sitting MLC P Rajeswara Reddy retained his Council seat in a close fight with his immediate contender Teenmar Mallanna (Independent) from Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda graduates constituency.
The results for both the MLC seats were declared late on Saturday night at the end of a four-day marathon vote counting process.(UNI)
