Puducherry, Mar 21:Lt Governor, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan on Sunday flagged off the mobile vehicle here to create awareness among the public on the COVID vaccination, organised by Puducherry Health Department.

According to a Raj Nivas release here, the Lt Governor earlier inaugurated the Health Booth containing sanitiser, gloves, face masks and gave them to the people for use.

She also distributed face masks and gloves to the aged and children.

Dr Soundararajan requested the people to follow the protocol/norms of COVID-19 laid down by the Government.

She said that Puducherry was not very vulnerable and people need not be afraid of it and urged all to get the COVID vaccine as a precautionary measure.

Vaccination camp for Covid will be conducted at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Krumampakkam on Wednesday, the Lt Governor said and urged the people to utilize the occasion.

Advisors to Lt Governor, Dr C Chandramouli, Dr. AP Maheshwari, Mr S.D. Sundaresan, Secretary (Information and Publicity) Mr. T. Arun, Secretary (Health) and among others participated in the function.(UNI)
