Need to increase number of tests, treatment facilities in rural areas to curb corona infection: Chavan

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Mar 21:Collector Sunil Chavan on Sunday stressed on increasing the number of tests and treatment facilities in rural areas to curb the spread of corona infection.
Speaking after visiting the Primary Health Centre at Waluj near here, he instructed the concerned officials to be more vigilant regarding the spread of coronavirus.
He emphasised on widespread use of preventive measures to curb the spread of Covid infection in rural areas and creating more public awareness about the use of face masks.
Mr Chavan also suggested to enhance the RTPCR tests of the family members where the corona patient was found as well as of those who came in contact with the infected person.
The health system should be ready to provide timely treatment to the patients in rural areas, he added.
It may be noted that Aurangabad is one of worst affected districts in the state where day by day more and more cases are being spotted.(UNI)
