Budget worth Rs 2 lakh cr presented in Telangana Assembly
Hyderabad, Mar 18 :Telangana Finance Minister T Harish Rao presented the budget worth Rs 2,30,825,96 crore for the financial year 2021-22 in the state Assembly on Thursday.
The budget proposes a revenue expenditure of Rs 1,69,383.44 crore and capital expenditure of Rs 29,046.77 crore.
The revenue surplus in the Budget was estimated at Rs 6,743.50 crore and the estimated fiscal deficit was Rs 45,509.60 crore.
In his marathon budget speech, the minister presented detailed sector-wise allocations.
Stating that the COVID-19 pandemic had had its effect on the state’s economy too, he said that the budget was prepared mainly with a view to fulfilling the promises made to the people.
The budget allocates the development fund of Rs.five crore each to the MLAs and Rs 610 crore has been allocated for the construction of the new secretariat complex.
