Telangana Tops in Case Disposal at 3rd National Lok Adalat
HYDERABAD, OCT 28 :Telangana has achieved the highest case disposal rate in the country at the 3rd National Lok Adalat, held on September 14, 2024.
Organized under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority, the Lok Adalat in Telangana marked a significant milestone in clearing pending cases.
Under the guidance of Justice Alok Aradhe, Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court and Patron-in-Chief of the Telangana State Legal Services Authority, along with support from Justice Sujoy Paul, Judge at the Telangana High Court and Executive Chairman of the Telangana State Legal Services Authority, District Legal Services Authorities, and Taluk Legal Services Committees facilitated this large-scale case resolution effort.
A total of 6,11,996 pending criminal and civil cases were addressed, with an impressive 6,05,805 cases settled—a disposal rate of 98.99 percent. This included 3,204 civil cases and 6,02,601 criminal cases. The achievement reflects Telangana’s commitment to swift legal redressal, benefitting thousands across the state, a statement from Telangana State Legal Services Authority said on Monday.
