In Andhra Pradesh, a truck and RTC bus crash, resulting in eight fatalities and thirty injuries.

CHITTOOR, SEP 13 :  Eight persons were killed on the spot and 30 others injured, five of them critically, when the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus collided with an iron-laden lorry on Moghali Ghat Road in Bangurupalam Mandal of Chittoor district, on Friday.
The accident occurred as the APSRTC bus was proceeding to Palamaner from Chittoor, police sources said.

The injured passengers were initially taken to a nearby area hospital and later referred to Chittoor Government Hospital for advanced medical treatment.

A case has been registered, and an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway, the sources added.
Meanwhile, Chittoor District Collector Sumit Kumar and the Superintendent of Police arrived at the accident spot to oversee the rescue operations.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock over the accident and directed officials to ensure the best possible treatment for the injured.(UNI)
