14 proposals of ‘Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojana’ approved

Hamirpur (HP), Mar 16 :Under ‘Chief Minister Swavalamban Yojana’, fourteen new proposals with an investment of Rupees 2.25 crore were adopted at a meeting of the Industries department here last evening. The new industries would give employment to fifty people, according to Deputy Commissioner, Debasweta Banik.
She said that the applicants will get a subsidy of about 40 lakh rupees under ‘Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojana’ to set up their industries.
She said that after the approval of the district level committee, there should not be any delay in providing loans to these applicants from banks. He directed the bank officials to settle all pending cases of Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojana by 25 March.
The Deputy Commissioner told that Himachali youths – young girls from 18 to 45 years old were eligible for this scheme. “Applicants can place their industry in any manufacturing sector or notified service area. Under this scheme, 25 per cent subsidy is given on equipment worth 40 lakhs for a total investment of up to Rs. 60 lakhs. There is a provision of 30 percent grant for women and 35 per cent for widowed women. After coming into production, 5 percent interest subsidy will also be given to the industry on loans up to 40 lakhs,” she said.
She also informed that the land available in industrial areas will also be given at 50 per cent of the current rate. To apply in the scheme, the applicant will have to fill the online application form of the Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Scheme available on the website of the Department of Industries, upload Aadhar card, Bonafide Himachali and project report.
The general Manager of the District Industries Center, Vijay Chaudhary, presented a detailed account of various applications. District lead bank manager, GC Bhatti and other officials were also present on the occasion.(UNI)
