Raising the salary to Rs 25 Lakh: KTR
HYDERABAD, SEP 2 : BRS Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) criticized the Telangana government’s decision to provide Rs 5 lakh in compensation to the families of those who lost their lives in the recent floods, calling the amount insufficient.
KTR demanded that the Congress-led state government increase the compensation to Rs 25 lakh.
In a tweet, KTR pointed out that Revanth Reddy, now Chief Minister, had previously promised Rs 25 lakh compensation when he was President of the PCC. KTR urged the government to honour this commitment, emphasizing the need for the administration to support the families affected by the floods.
KTR also called on the government to fulfill its promise of providing Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh in aid to those whose homes were lost or damaged due to the floods.
He criticized the government for its lack of preparedness, stating that the loss of life was a result of the administration’s incompetence and poor planning.
KTR stressed the importance of taking immediate measures to protect the lives and security of people in flood-affected areas.(UNI)
