Hyderabad,Mar 15 :The budget session of the Telangana Legislature commenced on a calm note Today.

The customary address by Governor Tamilisai Soundarajan to the joint sitting of both the Houses of the Legislature (Assembly and Council) heralded the start of the session.

Soon after the Governor’s address,the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) will meet to

decide about the duration and the agenda of the session.

The Presiding officers of both the Houses (Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and Council Chairman Sukhender Reddy),Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao,ministers besides leaders of opposition parties will attend the BAC meeting.

Members attended the House wearing face masks as a precaution against the contagious coronavirus.

According to sources,Assembly will take up condolence motions for deceased sitting and former members of Tuesday.

Finance Minister T.Harish rao will present the state budget for 2021-22 on March 18.(UNI)
