HYDERABAD, JULY 31 : Jishnu Dev Varma was sworn in as the Governor of Telangana on Wednesday evening. Telangana High Court Chief Justice Alok Aarade administered the oath of office to him at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan. Jishnu Dev Varma has become the fourth Governor of Telangana since its formation.

The ceremony was attended by Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukender Reddy, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy, Cabinet Ministers, opposition party leaders, and other dignitaries.

Earlier in the day, upon his arrival at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad near here from Tripura, Varma was received by A Revanth Reddy, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, DGP Jitender, officers of the tri-forces, and State Government Adviser Harkara Venugopal Rao.(UNI)
