VIJAYAWADA, APR 14   :   The Telugu Desam party in Andhra Pradesh sought an investigation into the stone pelting on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy by CBI or NIA.

In a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioner of India here on Sunday, TDP MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar said that the TDP requests the ECI to immediately transfer Andhra Pradesh DGP KV Rajendranath Reddy, DGP Intelligence PSR Anjaneyulu, and Vijayawada police Commissioner Kanti Rana Tata and order an inquiry into their failure to protect the Chief Minister.

“I appeal to the ECI that it may kindly get the matter investigated by an external agency like ‘CBI or NIA’ to find out the real culprits in this attack and prosecute them in the interest of fair play and justice.

It may be mentioned here that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy suffered a minor injury on his forehead above his left eyebrow in a stone hurling incident on the night of Saturday at Singh Nagar here.(UNI)
